Computer Repair & Installation Services

I have 10 years of experience with computers and served over 40 different clients, not counting friends whom I helped. I can handle PC hardware and software plus Mac OS X software.

 
  1. I believe in preserving the data and existing computer environment of my clients. Unlike most computers, I only reformat computers as a last resort.
  2. I give some basic training to help my client to learn the basics of computer maintainance.
  3. I often introduce useful software or gifts to my clients, such as freeware dictionaries and free email services.
  4. I refuse to give up on problems that other technicians would ignore.
I can do the following

3) Speed up computers: Very often, computers are slow not because they are old, but because of various issues. I can fix them.

  • Poorly configured computers with insufficient RAM
  • Corrupted windows registry
  • Corrupted file system
  • Hard disks with bad sectors
  • Hard drives cluttered with old useless files
  • Hard drives that need defragmentation
  • Spyware, viruses, trojan horses and other bad software

4) Fixing unreliable computers: There are some older computers that became unreliable and crash. I can stablise them.

  • Maintainance work
  • Tweaking hardware parameters
  • Hardware modifications (such as adding fans)
  • Replacing unreliable hardware parts

5) Attaching other devices to computer

  • Using old hi-fi sets as good quality computer speakers
  • Broadcasting computer sounds to other radios in the house
  • Attaching VCR, tape recorder and other multimedia devices to computer
  • Watch TV on your computer
  • Having multiple monitors on one computer so that you can work on 2 documents at one time
  • Adding a larger monitor, keyboard and mouse to a notebook computer for a more comfortable workspace

6) Computer Maintainance

  • Hardware cleanup (removal of dust, realigning wires etc)
  • Physical inspection (checking all the fans to make sure they work etc)
  • Computer hardware and software checkup
  • Media card, portable hard drives and thumbdrives checkup
