2) Data Recovery: Don't believe your technicians when they tell you that your hard disk is beyond recovery. I have successfully recovered data from notebook hard disks that IBM technicians claim are beyond recovery. Do note that a seperate hard disk of the same size or larger than the damaged hard disk may be required to store the recovered data.
